History
The Powell Family has owned and operated aircraft for the 40 years. The mid 1980’s was when the air charter business was introduced via lease back. Not until then was it learned that there was a lot more to owning and operating than meets the eye. The mid to late 1980’s a Twin Beech, Beech 18, was purchased and Powell Air, Inc. was founded. The “Beast” as eventually put on a charter certificate which has evolved into Airmax Airlines, Inc. As a passenger and freight operator, Airmax’s last full year of operating freight flew 4600 hours, 100% completion and 1 operation with an hour delay due to a mechanical. Airmax has turned to basically all passenger and aircraft management with once in awhile freight. Over the past years Airmax has learned exactly what is necessary to bring the valued charter customer happy with our product.
